With this album, what I was trying to prove was that there is a lot more to Falz the Bahd Guy … people have seen the funny guy’ said Falz in smooth English while chatting with Rexx and Ife on ‘The Drop Spot’ which is exclusive to Metro97.7fm. Of course, he didn’t stay in that zone for long as he explained that the song ‘Soldier’ which features Simi was a ‘viguratif espreshun’ and had nothing to do with him being raised in the barracks like Rexx suggested. Talking about the number of tracks, Falz owned up to recording 25 tracks even though only 17 tracks made the album which was largely produced by Sess. ‘Lifestyle is shine shine but still intellectually Einstein’ was one of the many punch lines that made ‘Stories that touch’ album work for Ife. She practically reeled out all the lines that jumped out at her.
While talking about one of the exceptional songs on the album, ‘Workaholic’, Falz confessed that he had grown to be one because of his crazy schedules, but he advised like he did on the song that everyone should take time out to relax. Rexx checked to see if he practised what he preached and discovered that he was a sports-lover who was always, ‘either washing or playing’ football. Ife zeroed in on ‘Love you pass’ and confessed that she was supposed to love the song but it didn’t have the sync that she expected from a song with Bez. She wanted more from the song even though it was lovely. She went ahead to put him on the Spot, and got him to do a cover for Adele’s ‘Hello’!
