CHICA, popularly known as Chika Chukwu is a Nigerian actress, singer, talk show host and an independent logistics/media liaison personnel, with a degree in Education from England.
Her passionate foray into the entertainment industry started when she was a little girl, from being in a “BEKKS” biscuit advert to acting in school plays, miming “Mariah Carey” songs under the name “Andrave” in “A’level’s school” and then Nollywood came calling in 1997 via music, starting with making soundtracks for Nigerian movies, singing in a band with the late Sammy Needle and Eedris Albdukareem.
Chica is best known for her longest TV starring character ”Jumoke Fuji” in the family sitcom ”Fuji House Of Commotion”. She continues to take on “characters” that endear her, to her fans/followers as seen with the latest films she has featured in – Kunle Afolayan’s PhoneSwap, Mildred Okwo’s The Meeting, Omoni Oboli’s Being Mrs Elliott, Uche Jombo’s Unconditional and the list goes on.
