DJ Obi is closer than ever to the finish line of his attempt to not only beat the current 200 hour Guinness World Record for Longest Marathon Club DJing, but to set a new unprecedented record of 240 hours.
We’re checking in from Sao Café where it’s the 7th day and as the pressure mounts, DJ Obi is finding it a bit harder to get his energy up in the early hours of the morning. In the more challenging times, #TeamObi stops taking shifts and all come together to keep him going. Meanwhile, Sao Cafe gets is getting more and more crowded by the day as we near the end of this amazing journey.
At 7:30am on Friday, July 1st, DJ Obi would have met the current 200hour record and at 11:30pm on Saturday, July 2nd he would have completed his personal goal of 240 hours.
The support and love has been overwhelming, everyone wants to meet DJ Obi who is now known as the DJ with the longest club set in Africa and will soon be known as having the longest club set in the world. We couldn’t be more appreciative of the way Nigeria has shown up to support DJ Obi. As always, keep the love coming via social media! We’re almost there!
