I don’t record enough, competition is crazy – ill Bliss
ill Bliss stopped by on The Drop Spot to talk about his brand new classic, ‘Nku’ which features Flavour and Stormrex. Rexx asked why it was necessary for ill Bliss to transition into rapping in Igbo from rapping in English. He responded by crediting it to the constant ‘evolution’ of rap music and being wary of seeing ‘extinction hug you’. ill Bliss also revealed that he had to learn to write ‘verses in Ibo’ to stay relevant in the game. While responding to Ife’s question about the state of The Goretti company and management of artistes vis-a-vis giving his music career all the attention it needs, Bliss makes it clear that he has finally chosen to delegate.
He goes ahead to say, ‘I don’t record enough, competition is crazy’ so he had to rearrange the business to concentrate on ‘ill Bliss the rapper’. Talking about the buzzing single, ‘Nku’ he confirmed that he truly came in to Lagos on a night bus just like he said on the song. Ill Bliss also revealed that he does research to know what young people would love to listen to because ‘they are the ones with disposable income’. ‘I am working, I want an album every year now’ was his response when Rexx tried to find out if Bliss planned on putting out stuff this year. He gave the scoop that there was a single in the works featuring Falz and that it’ll drop first on The drop Spot on Metro 97.7fm.
