Dear Art Enthusiasts,
Here’s something exciting to look forward to in 2017: “Young Kulture”
Young Kulture is a series of live Pop Up concerts with a new age twist aimed at rejuvenating proper live performances using a full production live band.
In the past couple of years the Nigerian Music industry has witnessed a lot of global growth and recognition but one of the many things that have been found lacking is local tours put together by local artistes.
This is a void aimed to be filled by X3M Music’s very own D-Truce and his fellow rapper/Musician; Jamal Swiss with Young Kulture.
Their idea is simple; to hold as many concerts at as many locations in the Lagos metropolis and imbibe the culture of touring, by local artistes in the Nigerian Entertainment industry.
The first of this series is scheduled for 7PM on the 28th of January 2017 at Freedom Park.
The duo will be performing music from their “Eden” and “Based On True Events” E.P.s respectively.
Both artistes, have a record of notable shows to their name, with Jamal Swiss having a live mini-concert for his “Based On True Events” E.P at The Village hut on the 18th of December last year, and D-Truce hosting #TheEdenExperience a live performance of his E.P (Which was enlisted by Pulse NG as one of the best Nigerian E.P’s of 2016) at bogobiri on the 1st of December 2016.
Both artistes have since decided to join forces to develop a grand concert tour with hopes of creating a fresh experience for fans to enjoy, all embodied in the #YoungKulture initiative.
The tour will also feature performances from 3rty and Cat Mayel as well as guest appearances from X3M Music’s Praiz, Simi and Sammy and a special drama presentation from the Oxygen drama group on the first night of the Series.
It will be an exciting thrill so make it a date guys! Be sure to turn up at #YoungKulture on the 28th of January at Freedom Park!
