TOSIN ALADE also known as d’GUITAR is a virtuoso guitarist and producer, is an alumni of the Peter King College of Music in Lagos. He has performed and worked with a range of professional musicians including Nneka, Keziah Jones, 2Face Idibia, Bracket, Dele Taiwo, TY Bello, Ebisan, Mike Aremu, Sean Tizzle, K-switch, Yemi Alade, Terry G, Airis, Joey Ducane, Waje, Sasha, Chidinma, Ibiyemi, Dipo, Goldie, Eva, Kel, Vincent Ezelle, and the veteran musician Fatai Rolling Dollar! Tosin has also opened for Femi Kuti and he has played at a range of prestigious venues in Lagos and beyond. With a long list of role models which includes the likes of Lagbaja, Kunle Ayo, Jonathan Butler and George Benson. “Born of Yoruba parents in Lagos, Nigeria, his parents clearly knew a star was born, writing his destiny in the stars by naming him “Tosin” TOSIN ALADE recalls how as a youngster he always had and affinity to play, starting with drums and thumb piano and later graduating to guitar at the tender age of 17. By age 23 Tosin Alade was recording and playing with some of Nigeria’s internationally respected artists, including Nneka, Keziah Jones and the enigmatic Late Pa Fatai Rolling Dollar.
