Kayve is an afro-pop singer born in Okokomaiko Ojo Lagos to the family of Mr and Mrs Uka Kalu, with real name Victor Kalu. Born on the 1st of May 1990 and the second of seven kids, he attended FOA primary school Okokomaiko Ojo, Community Secondary School Ojo Lagos, and a graduate of Statistics in Abia State University Uturu, Abia State.
Balogun like he’s fondly called is currently signed to Flair Music Group “FMG” used to be a drummer in his church back in the late 90s and early 2000s, before he started singing and decided to go into music professionally in 2007 and has worked with several local and international artistes, the likes of American rapper Fame Go Insane, Cameroonian singer Xcellente, Panza, Jay 5, Ucen, Bosalin, Slow Dog, just to mention a few. He is highly influenced by the likes of Legendary Fela, 2Face Idibia, Shina Peters, Banky W, Rayce, Black Magic, Faze, Ajebutter. That’s why his versatility in making Afro music is exceptional.
