Joshua Tochukwu Jakes aka ill-one was born 9th of Dec in the part of Lagos state called okokomaiko but grew up on island Ajah. He is from Imo state and from a family of 3, a younger brother and elder sister. He finished his high school 2005 and later moved to FUTA for a bachelor degree. Music was what he grew up with listening to rappers like 50cent, Nas, 2pac, Joe burden, Raskimono, Lucky dube and Bob marley, ill-one was in a crew called H2O back then in school. He has been on several rap battle competition like, Mad skillz anchored by MI and Alabi, Sprite triple Slam, rap Titans in Akure. Worked with lot of artiste both up and coming and known, with credible performance to lot of shows.
