Back with its season 2, chase awards, formerly Young Entertainment and Music Awards (YEM) is calling for submission of songs.
According to the producer of the awards, Osein Olakunle, artistes and record labels must send in their entries to be considered for nomination and other conditions for submission of songs are:
The music material must be released in the year under review (April 2012-April 2013); the song or album must be submitted to the organizers. This is very important as non-submission of the materials will render the participant ineligible for nomination; Artistes must not submit music materials created by other individuals, to do so they must own the copyright to such materials.
Other criteria includes: Music materials that endorse /encourage fraud, alcohol abuse, narcotics and wanton sex are not eligible for submission, except said material(s) have radio edited versions; All submitted eligible materials are considered for nomination, regardless of who submitted them; Non-Nigerian creators (including artistes, producers and music video directors) are not eligible for nomination, and artwork/studio picture and biography/profile must follow each entry.
Submission of entries begins today, Saturday, June 22 and ends on Saturday, August 17. Olakunle says complete entry materials should be sent via mail to Submit.chaseawards@gmail.com as only music content released between April 2012 to April 2013 are eligible for entry.
Last year’s awards ceremony took place on 21st of December, 2012 at the Bespoke event centre in Lekki , Lagos.
