Dr. Seuss said “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better”. This is what comes to mind when I hear people ask; How many girls were abducted from Chibok? How many people were killed in Baga? How many people got blown up in Postikum? 230 or 200?, 150 not 2000? 50 or 47? But then I ask, when did statistics become more important than the lives of our people? The more we ignore or endure the madness that is Boko Haram, the closer we get to losing our humanity to the menace.
#230? Or 2000? Statistics should not matter. LIVES should.
