Trybe Productions and Trybe Records would like to thank all those who attended their first presentation in Ghana. It was an unbelievable line up of some of the finest artists from Ghana and Nigeria, and the show was a roaring success.
The goal of this production was three-fold. “First we wanted to present the finest artists from both Ghana and Nigeria; and we had the best of the best on stage last night” says, Producer, Femi Badmus. “We also wanted to put on the best show possible.” Well if you ask anyone of the fans present, they will tell you it was absolutely amazing.
Trybe Productions also wanted to provide an opportunity for some of the new artists in the industry to showcase their talent, and they certainly did that. Newcomer, Aramide, kick-started the show with a lovely rendition of Ghana’s National Anthem, followed by Trybe Records label mates Sojay and K9, who got the crowd hyped.
The show was hosted by, the one and only Jay Foley, while DJ Kess was on the turntable. Together they kept the hype going throughout the show.
At the mere mention of his name Sarkodie fans jumped out of their seats; and when he took the stage there was a frenzy of delighted fans chanting out his songs, “Sarkodie” “You go kill me”, “Dangerous” and more.
Next up was Sheyman, followed by Dr. Sid, who did not disappoint the audience with an exciting and energetic performance.
eLDee was absolutely riveting as fans jammed to the well known “Bosi Gbangba” and “Big Boy”, and then were thrilled with the introduction of his latest singles of the upcoming undeniable album, “Today, Today”, “Category”, “Wash Wash” and “Zombie”
It didn’t end there. Tiffany came out with her dancers and showed off her “Azonto” skills and then charged-up up the ladies with “Fake London Boy” and “Last One”. StayJay also joined her on stage to perform “Shashiwowo”.
WizKid gave an explosive performance backed up by D-Money for the first few songs of his set; and then was joined by R2Bees to present their collaboration, “Dance”. R2Bees took over and capped off the night with fans singing, “Kiss your hand” among others.
It was a show that was not to be missed….so if you did, maybe next time! It was a fantastic show enjoyed by all.
This concert was also an opportunity to support a worthy cause, The Hope Integration Project. This programme has been developed by the Ghana Government via Ghana’s Prisons, with the goal of rehabilitating and re-assimilating former inmates back into society. The programme provides training and temporary housing for those recently released in support of their transition. A portion of the proceeds from the ‘Undeniable Concert’ is being donated to this very worthy cause.
