PAPI’S SEE OLE

PAPI, From a very early age it was evident that Papi was musically gifted. Like he always says, “I didn’t choose music, music choose me”. It was only the insistence of his family on the acquisition of a university degree that stopped him from practising his first love long before now.

Make me Craze, an Afro-Pop, is Papi’s first single. It featured the multi talented Terry G of the House of Ginjah fame who also produced it. Papi wrote the lyrics and the chorus of the song. One cannot fail to note the unmistakable style of Terry G’s whilst playing the song.Papi also recently added to his libary two new songs,titled I Don Kolo and See Ole.Papi is presently working on songs like “Fineboi Drama”being produced by Samklef and “Download my pimpim” by Ojb Jezreel.

Though born in Kaduna state, Papi is an Urhobo from Delta state but was brought up in Port Harcourt and Lagos,he had his secondary education at the famous Government College Ughelli and holds a combined honours degree in Linguistics and Mass Communications from the University of Port Harcourt.

He has many siblings and has so far resisted the lure of the UK where his Mum and some siblings are based. Whilst in school he worked part-time with LTMX the family owned business who are specialist in the design and build of TV and Radio infrastructure.

Some of the lyrics of the song reflect the concerns of his family on his decision to navigate the slippery terrain of the Nigerian music industry. His family agreed to give him two years within which to pursue his musical dream and only a successful outcome will prevent him heading back to school for his post graduate degree.
