Mister MayD has been creating a niche for himself with his unique style. But barely 2 weeks after dropping a superb R&B track which features Ghetto P, MayD joined the flocks to give us his own bit of the Naija Cruise genre.
The most amazing thing is that I had to listen over and over and over again and it is hard for me to fault MayD himself on these tracks. From the beats, to the composure, delivery, a little bit of shaky arrangements I think…..but pleaassee let’s not talk about the lyrics here.
“you want to know me” … Typical Naija Cruise, but has good composition and delivery, with some sing along vibes too… Beat is really a club banger, not to forget that it thus sounds like a re-make of one of P-Square’s beat. Although, the momentum with which the jam started dropped midway, but he was able to bring back the hook to finish hard… Good job.
Wonder what happened to him on the Gat me High song.dude kind of dropped… Unfortunately him trying to come back didn’t work well for me, but he successfully used P-Square’s template and brought back the sing along hook to finish it well….I think the beat is going to make this song a good club banger.
“Ile Ijo”, although on the template of the P-Square popular song that featured the international star, this is going to be a club banger and trust me we will be dancing to it for a long time.
However, I must mention that same producer seems to be affecting his music as the strings are almost around same pitch on all the instrumentals. In all let’s give to Mister MayD he’s been able to show versatility delivering above average on two different genre of songs.
